Airports
Nuremberg airport 80 km away - approximately 1 hour by train, bus, transportation available to and from airport.
Frankfurt airport - 280 km away - by train via Nuremberg or by plane from Bayreuth.

Breakfast
Breakfast hours are daily from 7.00 to 10.00 a.m. and to 11.30 a.m. on Sundays and holidays in our Bistro-Restaurant „Gendarmerie" on the groundfloor. In case you have to check out before breakfast time: we serve a breakfast in your room or prepare a take away breakfast for you. Please order in the evening prior to your departure until 10.00 p.m.
Car rentals
Please inquire at reception.
Check-Out
Hotel room has to be cleared by 11.00 a.m. Should you require more time (not during the Wagner-Opera-Festival), please contact reception.
Children
Children sharing parents room without an extra bed up to 12 years are free of charge. Extrabed € 20.00 per night. Breakfast is extra. A special children menu is available.
Cigarettes
There is a cigarette machine to be reached via the lobby - in front of the groundfloor facilities

Festivals
The Richard-Wagner-Festivals are performed every year between 25th of July and 28th of August. Unfortunately, we cannot procure tickets for you.

Indoor pool with sauna
The pool can be reached by the back staircase. We provide towels and robes for our guests free of charge. Please call 100.
Opening times:
pool everyday from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
sauna weekdays from 4.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
weekends from 2.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
If you notice that the sauna is not in operation at 2.00 p.m. respectively 4.00 p.m. -please call the reception. It will take 30 minutes to heat it up. Also, should you wish to use the sauna outside the designated operating times, we will turn it on for you for a fee of € 6,00.

Laundry service
Same day service on laundry turned in before 9.00 a.m., except saturday, sunday and holidays. A laundry bag and list are located in the wardrobe in your room. Clothes which are turned in for chemical cleaning are received back within 12 hours and for the ironing service within one hour.

Porters available, please call 100.
Mailbox
Letters may be dropped off at the reception. The main post office is located within 200 m of the hotel.
Minibar
The minibar is checked daily, please settle your account prior to departure at reception.
Newspaper
Available in the restaurant. A large selection of newspapers, books and magazines is available at the bookstore at the train station.
Parking
Please book parking space in advance with reception. As parking, except for loading and unloading, is prohibited in front of the hotel, we can not be held responsible for violations. We can pull in your car if you want - just contact our reception staff.

Your television has been preprogrammed to provide several radio programs classical, pop music with traffic information, news and folk music.
Restaurant
Our main restaurant is an original French Restaurant-Bistro-Café „Gendarmerie" on the groundfloor.
It offers an extensive menu at these times - inbetween these times you can enjoy some snacks from our "Bistro-Card". Casual the front part of the bistro - more elegant, but still relaxed the restaurant „L´Etoile" - „The Star" (air conditioned) Spanische Stube for up to 14 persons and the elegant „Zaubergarten" (on the first floor with air condition) for a maximum at 50 persons. These two restaurants are available, if required, for breakfast and á-la-carte service. They are perfect for meetings, conferences, celebrations, etc. Our reception staff will inform you about the conditions.

The Bayreuth Tourist Information offers guided walks through the town visiting all major points of interest. This tour takes about 2 hours. During winter (November through April) every saturday at 10.00 a.m. and during summer (May through October) Tuesday through Saturday at 10.00 a.m.
